In Her Shoes

“In Her Shoes” on October 24 (Saturday, 8:30am - 1:00pm). This is a program designed for learning about domestic violence and its impact on individuals and the community.  Participants act, think, and experience the lives of domestic violence victims.  It is designed to educate community and professional groups about the challenges faced by victims of domestic violence.  October is Domestic Violence Awareness month and our challenge as a faith community is how can we recognize and affect power-based violence in our community.  We are working with Peggy Radke from the Family Shelter Services and Jackie Rankin from the 18th Judicial Circuit Court Family Violence Council to present this programto Trinity and the community.
