Comfort and Joy

“Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep” Romans 12:15

 

2020 has been a uniquely difficult year where we all are experiencing more downs than ups.  The world has been turned upside down, and we all know someone who knows someone who has lost a loved one, their livelihoods or who are unable to be together with friends and family.  As we begin our Advent journey we will continue to acknowledge the Dis-Comfort of the year, but want to remind ourselves of the joy of Christmas and the birth of our Saviour.  Rooted in our Christian beliefs we aim to celebrate as we can, although differently, and embrace the wider community in our lives.   More today than ever before we live into the Trinity Mission Statement; Love God, Love Neighbor, Change the World, by helping to change that Dis-Comfort to Comfort, and spreading Joy to those that we know and those we are yet to know, and live into those rich and joyous traditions of the past and to offer God’s love in the present.
